Aspertame Composition

Aspertame is commonly known today as NutraSweet, Equal, and other artificial sweetener brand names. Yet, that doesn't change the basics behind it.

Today, there are multiple symptoms associated with aspertame, including headaches and migraines, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, numbness, joint pain, vertigo, memory loss, heart palpitations, insomnia, vision problems, irritability, anxiety attacks, loss of taste among others.

Furthermore, there are reports that aspertame can make certain conditions worse, including brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, lymphoma, birth defects, alzheimer's, diabetes, and chronic fatigue.

So, the question is, what exactly is behind aspertame? Aspertame is the technical name for this artificial sweetener and it is made up of aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol. So, let's learn more about this artificial sweetener:

1) Aspartic Acid makes 40% of what aspartame is.

Aspartate can act very similarly to glutamate. They both act as neurotransmitters that facilitates information transmission. Yet, this can cause some cells to died as there is a high influx of calcium. They literally excite the neural cells to death.

2) Phenylalanine makes up to 40% of aspartame. Phenylalanine is an aminoacid that is found in the brain. But when there is an excess level of this amino acid, this can lead to emotional disorders, such as depression.

3) Methanol makes up to 10% of aspartame. Now, methanol is really a poison. In the body, methanol becomes formic acid and formaldehyde.

Without a doubt, the dangers of aspertame are real and need to be addressed. Of course, today the industry is indeed to big and it would be difficult for federal agencies to recognize the damage they may have caused. Yet, you can take measures to help protect your family from the dangers of aspertame.
